Grace Life Church was organized during the 'Jesus Movement' of the 1960's. It all began when a group of Southwest Minnesota College students wanted to serve God and share the 'Good News' of Jesus Christ. That heart of youthful enthusiasm brought into existence the "Church On The Hill", a coffee house ministry called "The Magic Theater", a music group called "Mustard Seed Faith" and a newspaper called "The Waymaker Press". Those ministerial entities have ceased in name but the message about Jesus Christ continues to be proclaimed. The property sold and the church moved to Marshall in 1983 holding services in the West Side Elementary School building where it was renamed Grace Life Church. In 1985, the Full Gospel Assembly Church merged with Grace Life Church and property was purchased at 616 W. Main Street for worship services. As the church grew it became necessary to move to a larger facility. In 1992 Grace Life purchased the former St. Stephen's Lutheran
Church property located at 605 Camden Drive and enjoyed 14 years at that location. In 2006 Grace Life Church received a blessing from the Lord when the Church's proposal to purchase the former East Side Elementary School building was accepted for the minimal sum of $50,000.00. For this price we received 48,400 square foot building sitting on 8.49 acres of beautiful green space. Grace Life Church currently resides at 601 E. College Drive and is continuing to grow and serve the Lord in the community and surrounding area.
