At Grace Life Church, we believe in the believer's baptism: water baptism (full immersion in water) as a way to publicly proclaim faith in Jesus Christ. Biblically, water baptism is not the path to salvation. Ephesians 2:8 (NLT): God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Water baptism was practiced biblically not as a path to salvation, but to show belief in Jesus.
The Bible makes it clear that scriptural baptism is believer's baptism.
Thus, the believer's baptism practiced at Grace Life is not a baptism that saves, but a baptism that one takes after admitting sin and turning to Christ for salvation. If you have accepted Jesus into your life and feel moved to publicly proclaim your faith, please fill out the form to set up a baptism. You will then be contacted for a meeting. Grace Life also believes in baptism of the Holy Spirit, which occurs when we ask the Holy Spirit into our hearts. Luke 3:16 (NLT): John answered their questions by saying, “I baptize you with water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire." |
