When you see someone that you haven’t been able to forgive, what are some of the emotions that boil up inside?
Like a red cape being waved in front of a bull, the devil will use our un-forgiveness to stir up emotions like bitterness, jealousy, hatred, sadness, anger and so on. Many times we will even act on these emotions. Why is the analogy of a bull fighter so accurate when we see someone that we haven’t forgiven? Jesus said that the number times of we should forgive someone is seventy times seven. What did he mean by that? Is there actually a limit to how many times we should forgive someone? Have you ever counted how many times God has forgiven you? How do you know when you’ve truly forgiven someone? If you’re struggling to answer this question, ask God to search your heart and reveal the truth… and then ask Him to set you free!
